Google Pixel 6a will feature a Tensor chip but will use an older camera setup

Why use such old sensors in 2021? It measures only 1 / 2.55 “.
Use at least a 1/2 “sensor which is also available in budget devices around $ 200. The Pixel 6a will surely be much more expensive than that.

Hello Life, 2 hours agolol iphones still use a 12mp sensor and push the best night shotsYeah that’s what I don’t understand. The Pixel 5 has poor night shots in automatic mode, but the iPhone 12 Pro with the same sensor size and pixel size can take better photos in low light. Not to mention that the night mode on the iPhone is twice as fast as the Pixel’s night viewfinder. Maybe chipset and tuning matters a lot. Even the iPhone 12 Pro with a small sensor has much better low-light video than the S21 Ultra wide sensora

In low light it’s super dark and soft but noisy. I don’t mind an accurate photo, but it should be crisp and quiet. But Pixel 5 is not. At pixel 6, I will always turn off night view because I don’t like looking at night photos during the day. But for a very small 12 Mp sensor, no way

Moreover, it won’t take 7 seconds.

Pixel 6 is already reasonably priced. I think 6a will be a great value.

It’s a shame they’re using the same old camera sensors again. But I’m sure the Tensor SoC will increase the image processing and video quality a bit.

By August 2022, it will be obsolete

ABF Media, 5 hours agoDo you understand that the default settings can be changed by the user and many people change them? … moreSee Danny Winget’s camera comparison between Pixel 6 Pro, Iphone 13 Pro max and s21 Ultra.

While the results are great on all. The experience of taking pictures at night is better on Iphone

Iphone = 1-3 seconds, instant processing

W21 u = 2 – 4 seconds, 2 seconds of treatment

Pixel 6 Pro = 4-7 seconds, 3 seconds or more of processing

With iPhone and Galaxy, you can adjust the duration of night mode directly when shooting in the viewfinder. Thus, the duration of each shot can be easily changed.

While waiting for your solution? No offense, but it’s stupid and not worth it. You have to go to settings, then advanced settings, then developers option and then change it with all that harshness. The worst part is that it only affects the shooting time, not the processing time. In addition, this applies to every shot. So in low light conditions the photos will look horrible. On Iphone and Samsung, this is easily done from the viewfinder.

Even from the default settings right out of the box, iPhone and Samsung provide a much better night mode experience.

ABF Media, 5 hours agoDo you understand that the default settings can be changed by the user and many people change them? … moreSure, people change the aspect ratio of photos, video resolution, and frame rates, but who will change the number of frames in night mode? It’s buried deep in the scenery and how many will agree? You talk like that because you do that. Most people don’t even change the settings. They just point and shoot. Also, the Iphone’s default is 3 seconds or less in night mode, although you can adjust it to 10 seconds, and this is easily done by adjusting the slider in the viewfinder.

What about your pointless and difficult solution? Change your night vision frame? It is not easy to do. You need to go to settings first, then advanced settings, then developer options, then tap on night view, then set the number of frames. How many will do that ?????

It is much worse compared to the Iphone solution.

Pixel = 4 – 6 seconds for 1 photo, plus processing time = 8-10 seconds.

Iphone = 1 – 3 seconds, can be adjusted easily by slider.

For example, if the camera app opens with photo mode in the viewfinder, they may very well switch to video in the app, they just don’t stop using the video camera, or they stay in mode. photo because of the default settings.

You don’t have to be super techy to change a simple setting like choosing video resolution or portrait mode or whatever.

Stop pretending people can’t even choose between photo and video.
You give the impression that they are so illiterate in technology that they point and shoot without knowing which mode (photo / video) is activated.
